Project: "Development of the Market for Integral Management of Recyclable Solid Waste – Technical Cooperation Agreement N° ATN/ME-11267-PE"

Description:

The goal is to contribute to the improvement of economic opportunities and working conditions for recyclers through the strengthening of their associations and the management of recyclable solid waste in micro and small enterprises (MSE’s) and in coordination with similar businesses and the District Municipalities of San Juan de Miraflores, Villa María del Triunfo, Villa El Salvador and Lima.

Goals:

  • Contribute to the strengthening of municipal incentives for promoting the development of the recycling market.
  • Develop organizational and technical skills in recyclers and their associations in order to implement new systems for selective collection, collection centers and trade of solid waste with an added value.
  • Create alliances with businesses so that they participate in the selective collection program through segregation in their premises and giving products to recyclers.
  • Establish a system for monitoring, organizing and disseminating results.
